What did the children play with in the pile-dwelling village? How did Romans pass the time? And which games were popular in the early Middle Ages? On Monument Day we offer guided tours, games and workshops.
Stone, wood and metal: raw materials shape human history. At experience stations and during short tours, we focus on materials and their influence on prehistory. Try it out!

Guided Tour through the Legionnaires' Quarters
20,000 years ago herds of wild horses roamed the landscapes of Europe. They inspired people to paint caves, but were also hunted. It was only much later, in the Bronze Age, that horses were tamed and used as draft and riding animals. Today there are efforts to preserve the last wild horses. An afternoon for horse lovers with a wide range of activities.
