I'm Anton van den Heuvel (1964), I started learning ancient skills at the end of the eighties at the prehistoric village of Eindhoven. I have worked very closely with Hans Horreus de Haas, he was very inspirational to me.
Studying Experimental Archaeology at University College Dublin.
Interested primarily in the technology and crafts of the paleolithic period.
I am an archaeobotanist specialised in the anatomical identification of archaeological wood from Palaeolithic (Europe) and prehispanic archaeological contexts (Canary Islands).
Follow in the footsteps of the first inhabitants of our country. Trijntje from the Mesolithic probably walked barefoot. Those who are used to it will not feel every little stone prick. And besides, she and her family usually traveled by canoe.
Hi! My name is Stephanie Vesseur, working in living history since 1999. Sustainability, prehistoric plants and experimental archeology are my main interests. I do love to work with wool, hides, and fibres.
You, the big and small visitors to the Stone Age Park, will be able to try out your Stone Age skills in various disciplines at several stations!
These include dugout canoeing, archery and more! There are attractive prizes to be won !
