In the island of Vänö the remnants of a chapel dating back to the 17th century can still be seen.
The chapel is the reconstruction of an original of the 17th century and is currently open for service during summer.

In Holmavik, north west Iceland, a sorcerer's cottage was rebuilt with techniques that date back to the XVII century AD.
The sorcerer's cottage, a traditional turf building, was reconstructed to show how a poor tenant's abode was in the XVII cent. AD.
This open air museum was opened in 1944 thanks to the vision of its founder, Dr Isabel Frances Grant.

The point of my interest is Northeast Greenlandic archaeology: Independence, Saqqaq (a settlement in Western Greenland), Dorset culture (a Paleo-Inuit culture, lasting from 500 BC to between 1000 and 1500 AD).
