Crafts & Skills

My background is in fine art and art education. Originally trained as a visual artist, I completed a PhD at the Department of Mediterranean Studies, University of the Aegean, Greece. My main field of research involved the experimental research of the 4th Century BC fresco wall painting of the Tomb of Persephone in Vergina. My experiments are focused on painting materials and techniques. These include fresco painting techniques, as well as making pigments from madder, painting brushes and wax tablets.
