Bill is an associate professor of archaeology and experimental archaeology at Washington College located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the United States. His major areas of interest/study are prehistoric archaeology, experimental archaeology, stone tool technology, prehistoric food processing strategies (primarily detoxification of plants and fermentation), prehistoric ceramics, and general primitive technologies. He made several experimental archaeology field trips to Denmark. Bill was also the Chairman of REARC and EXARC Chair (2016-2018).
