CAST A BRONZE AGE AXE, KNIFE, OR CELTIC TORC!

Bronze: the metal that changed the world. Join us at the farm to discover the alchemy of metalwork and learn more about the process of bronze casting, all in the pursuit of creating your choice of a bronze axehead, knife, or torc. These intimate, two-person workshops ensure you have the full attention of metalworking master James Clift, who will use his expertise to guide you through learning to work with bronze and casting in sand. He also has extensive insight and knowledge to offer, and will advise you on how best to polish, care for, and even augment your new bronze cast at home.

For 2022, James will be offering a choice of axehead, knife, and torc designs based on archaeology from around Britain.

This workshop runs with two participants on custom dates. We can’t guarantee the workshop will run on a specific date until both participants have booked, but if your workshop doesn’t run, we’ll work with you to rearrange it for a date that suits you!

£185 per person. Includes entrance to the farm, a full day’s tuition and expertise, and all the materials necessary to cast an axehead, knife, or torc in bronze.
