Conference: Archaeology for the People: Exhibition, Experience and Performance; September in Lithuania

We call for papers for this conference we organize together with the State Cultural Reserve of Kernavė in Lithuania, September 13-15. The Keynote lecture will be by Dr. Peter Inker of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation; co-organiser will be the International Museum Theatre Alliance, IMTAL-Europe. Those of you who attended the conference we had together with them a few years ago in Foteviken know what a great experience this was. The call for papers ends March 1st, the same day as registration for the conference will open. We expect to keep the conference fee, including excursion, on 95 EUR for members and 105 EUR for non-members. More information HERE.

EXARC official meeting in Italy

We have been able to make a very good deal for EXARC members joining our meeting at the Paleofestival in Italy, May 25-27. If you present a workshop or lecture, there is free accommodation. To take part, you only need to pay 10 EUR and arrange your own travel and subsistence. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will also take part at the Paleofestival. Please register in time! Colonial Williamsburg Foundation – EXARC Fellowship

The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation– EXARC Fellowship funds a one month of scholarship in residence at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, America’s largest outdoor living history museum. Applicants need experience in ancient technology, experimental archaeology or interpretation, applicable to 18th century colonial American times. The fellowships is for $2,500.
