The Department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology is part of the University of Liverpool.

The Department teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students and carries out research on periods from early hominids through to recent times. Experimental archaeology forms part of research and teaching, most notably with Palaeolithic cave painting, lithics, and Iron Age building reconstruction.
