My name is Cohava Peterman-Lipschutz. I have degrees in Archaeology and Museology and am now working on my M.A. in Archaeology, focusing on archaeological open-air museums. I have over 15 years of experience in archaeology education, working in museums and for the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA). For the last five months, I have been involved in the excavation of a Byzantine and Roman site near Jerusalem with the IAA. I'm very interested in the use of experimental archaeology as a tool of research to learn more about the artifacts we find in the field, plus as a way to connect the public to archaeology and the archaeological sites around them and making archaeology more relevant to their lives.
