During the national Science Weekend, everyone can get acquainted with various sciences in an accessible way. On Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October between 11:00 and 17:00, various archaeologists will be in the Hunebed Center to show you how archaeologists excavate and what they learn from it. Young and old are welcome to visit the recently opened excavation site, which is based on recent excavations in Borger.

Do your own research
Children can do research into the past together with the archaeologists. Take a look at the plants that grew in prehistoric times with a microscope or discover which animals were already there in the time of the Hunebed builders. You can explore on your own, but you can also ask questions and bring your own finds to show to the archaeologists.

Primary school children free entry
The October Children's Month also starts on the same weekend. This means that all children up to the age of 13 can visit the Hunebedcentrum for free every weekend in October, including during the science weekend!
