There is a new digital children's route starting at the Hunebedcentrum in Borger. This walking route takes you into the world of the hunebed builders. The route has been developed especially for the experience of children. The Drenthe Landscape and the Hunebedcentrum collaborated in the development of this route.

Since the closer collaboration between Het Drentse Landschap and the Hunebedcentrum, laid down in a covenant last year, the first joint digital prehistoric children's route is now a fact. With the help of a student from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, a beautiful digital walking route has been developed for the whole family, in which children learn a lot about life in the Stone Age in a playful way. Along the way, assignments can be done and photos and videos can be viewed so that the world of Oek, the child from prehistoric times, comes to life.

The route starts and ends at the Hunebedcentrum. Oek takes you into the world of the hunebed builders. The route is available for free to everyone at Eindje om in Drenthe† If you want to get even more out of the route, you can rent a bag for € 2.50 in the Hunebedcentrum with things that allow children to experience the route even more.

During the spring break you can walk part of the route with family van Oek. Along the way, assignments are done together. After that you can continue the route independently and Oek's family goes back to the camp. It is not necessary to register for these walks.

The starting point is the square behind the Hunebedcentrum, Hunebedstraat 27, 9531 JT Borger.
