Matthias Barkmann shapes precious metal sheets into precious vessels with a ball hammer and hammer. Such valuable bowls were reserved for the dining table of the upper class in Haithabu. They were probably used to drink specially made drinks that were reserved for special occasions.

The Viking Museum Haithabu consists of an exhibition house and an outdoor area with reconstructed Viking houses. The parking lot is located near the exhibition center. To get from the parking lot to the reconstructed houses, you should plan a 20-minute walk.
