My historical interpretation activities give people space and time to step outside their everyday lives and experience serious learning in a fun and informal atmosphere. I work professionally with Museums, Schools and with volunteer re-enactment groups.
Studied history at Leiden University. Director of the National Dutch Carriage Museum (1992-2010), Director of the Eindhoven Museum (2010-2014), Director Heeswijk Castle (2015-present), Chairman of International Council of Museums (ICOM), National Committee The Netherlands (2016-2019).

I first ventured into the history and heritage industry with my husband in 1988, presenting living history for heritage and education. As part of this, we presented both the social and military aspects of the past.

Bodil Petersson, archaeologist, PhD with special focus on archaeological open-air museums and experimental archaeology (book 2003) and editor together with Lars Erik Narmo of a research anthology on the theme of experimental archaeology (2011).
I am an independent archaeologist working in cultural resource management in Arizona (Ph.D., Anthropology, UCLA, 1981), which mostly involves conducting archaeological surveys for companies or agencies planning activities that may affect archaeological remains.
I am a Heritage Consultant, working with a number of institutions in Ireland including the Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford, where we are rebuilding all our sites at present, covering 9000 years of Ireland's past.
