The Archeopark at Netolice was financed by INTERREG IIIA in a cooperation with the Archäologisches Erlebnispark Gabreta. The site of the park was an old castle site – an archaeological monument, one of the main centres of power in Southern Bohemia from the 10th to the mid 13th century.

Botanicus is a large centre with a botanical garden, a large shop with herbs et cetera and a park. An important part is the medieval town, which is more than just a house or two! It has about 8 larger dwellings and numerous smaller sheds et cetera.

Before WWII, Kaliningrad was the capital of Prussia and was referred to as Königsberg. In 1909, at the initiative of the provincial Conservator of Historical Monuments Richard Dethlefsen an open-air museum was founded in the North-Eastern part of the Königsberger Zoo in Hufen just outside the city centre, called the Ostpreußisches Heimatmuseum.

The Koggmuseet is situated near the city centre of Malmö, where in the past the high speed ferry left to Copenhagen. Since 2000, when there is a bridge connection across the Öresund, this ferry harbour is unnecessary anymore and traffic between Sweden and Denmark has been abundant.

The archaeological faculty of the University of Århus is situated in the old mansion Moesgård. It is well located, away from the city but not too far and surrounded by a forest like park adjacent to the beach. The 18th century Manor House of Moesgård is also home to an important archaeological and ethnographic museum. The permanent exhibition presents many unique archaeological finds from prehistoric Denmark.

Bornholm's Medieval Center, founded in 1996, is a historical experience center with a focus on the years 1300-1450, situated on 14 hectares of scenic surroundings with rivers, forests and rocky outcrops. The medieval center's main attraction is a fortified grand mansion with towers and frescoed farmhouse as well as other buildings for daily chores, surrounded by an earthen wall with palisade. In addition, the medieval center includes a small watermill, a number of smaller craft houses, gardens and path systems and spaces for various old animal breeds. There are also daily firings with various old gun types.
