Get to know the archeology of Drenthe! On Sunday 19 June, the Dolmen Center will be devoted to archeology during the National Archeology Days.

Get to know archaeologists and the work they do. Bring your own archaeological find and have it viewed by the PAN find registrar. Learn how to make your own bullroarer, and do your own archaeological research at our newly opened excavation site.

Visit our ArcheoHotspot or follow a short Archeology workshop. In it we explain how archaeologists can conduct research into prehistoric houses without the remains of them still visible in the landscape. After this explanation you can research prehistoric houses in the Hunebedcentrum like a real archaeologist.

This day is a free addition to the regular museum visit. You can buy tickets in advance on our website or on the day itself at the entrance desk.

This day there is an extensive program with many different activities, organized in collaboration with the Association of Volunteers in Archeology (AWN), Portable Antiquities of the Netherlands (PAN), Study Association of Archeology University of Groningen (Bachur), the Experimental Archeology Workgroup Groningen , the Province of Drenthe and ArcheoHotspots.
