In November, the EXARC Board went back to its roots. We had a meeting in Oerlinghausen where we also met in 2001, at the very early stages of EXARC. Two of EXARCs founders, present Chair Martin Schmidt and present Director Roeland Paardekooper were also present back then.

Apart from the sentimental journey we also did what a Board needs to do: move things forward. We planned the EXARC meetings for 2014 in detail (Spain in May, Austria on October) and discussed to publish more EXARC Journals (4 online Journals and 2 Digests per year) to name just a few subjects. We will also organise several smaller sessions, round table meetings, on specialised subjects. All will be announced to our members and colleague organisations.
