The Lauresham experimental archaeological open-air laboratory in the UNESCO World Heritage Lorsch Abbey is heading towards the high point of the year. On May 8, 2022, the head of Lauresham Claus Kropp and his team will present topics from the early Middle Ages on the Day of Experimental Archeology to watch and participate in and offer a public forum for science with lectures.

Epidemics, plagues, pandemics, none of them are inventions of modern times, but have existed throughout human history. The plague, the Spanish flu and leprosy wiped out entire sections of the population and changed the course and development of history. The corona pandemic shows us that, despite different hygiene
