One of the oldest sculptures in northern Germany is the Moose by Weitsche, which was designed around 14,000 years ago. In the Bronze Age, the amber trade experienced a new dimension.
Get to know one of the oldest human crafts. Bow making is a very special kind of woodworking. Working on the annual growth ring brings the wood to new life and will change the way you look at wood as a material. Under expert guidance, the participants make their own bows from ash or hickory (including string and arrows).
The Bronze Age open-air museum invites you to the “Days of Crafts”. Many artisans give insights into their technical skills and also offer their goods for sale. Some of the professionals demonstrate their crafts. The extensive grounds of the open-air museum are also available for a relaxing stroll.
