The International Iron Working Festival – Iron Smelting Days 2016 will occur in Stara Fužina, the village near the Lake Bohinj. The owner of the castle was the Zois family that had the whole iron facilities in Bohinj and other places from the years 1740 – 1869. The program of Iron Working Festival will show practical smelting the bloom to billet or bar, using domestic ore, charcoal and clay.

Archaeological parks, routes and paths in Slovenia are becoming new cultural-tourist products/attractions which, due to their content, enable visitors to “travel” back to the most remote periods of time. These products/attractions were first created in order to preserve the archaeological heritage and to make visitors aware of the rich cultural heritage which can be found at a specific place.

1960 a Bronze Age settlement, a rectangular fortified site, was discovered on a Pleistocene terrace near the river Ščavnica. The site was named Gradišče. In the early 1980s,the western part was excavated by the Murska Sobota Regional Museum.
