Scholarship of the past century has demonstrated that textiles have long played an important role in Mesoamerica, from the Classic period (AD 250-900) through contemporary cultures.

This new exhibition will be officially opened at 11 a.m. Archaeologists and excavation technicians are guests in the museum from 12 noon. They bring their tools with them and demonstrate how modern archaeology works.

Join us in an atmospheric ancient building and work with locally-sourced cuttings, pinecones, leaves, and berries to create your own Christmas or Yule wreath. Working by a crackling fire and with a dram of mead included, it doesn’t get more festive than this!

I'm Anton van den Heuvel (1964), I started learning ancient skills at the end of the eighties at the prehistoric village of Eindhoven. I have worked very closely with Hans Horreus de Haas, he was very inspirational to me.
