Hi There! I am a PhD student at Bournemouth University studying the impact of long-term engagement with experimental archaeology and ancient craft gestures on individual and community mental health, my research is entitled "Experimental Health: Craefting a Better Wellbeing".
My historical focus is on the early Middle Ages and I volunteer at the Lauresham Open Air Laboratory for Experimental Archaeology at the Lorsch Abbey World Heritage Site.
I focus on the function of the prehistoric lithic and bone/antler objects, as well as early farming, and cultivation and processing of plants in the Stone Age.
I have done historic textile demonstrations since 2001. These range from pre-history through industrialization. I have worked in living history since 2015 doing a variety of historic skills including textiles, draft power, farming, and other historic handcrafts.
I am the lecturer of Prehistory Archaeology and Stone Age Archaeology of Georgia at the Tbilisi State University from 2016.
I am a retired veterinary pathologist with a long-standing interest in sustainable technology and historic agriculture. I have 30 years experience interpreting farming to the public (the picture is from the 1990s).
I am an independent artist working directly with the public, using the traditional trade of silhouettes. I interpret and demonstrate the role of portraiture, and society experiences with portraits, chiefly between 1700-1920 (Modern Era).
