About the EXARC Journal
"In the Internet age all those who work in archaeology by using experimental procedures need a common link to learn, share and disseminate our work. EXARC, born thanks to the selfless efforts of a few, has become the best channel for research and dissemination of this modern archaeology close to the society. There are many more reasons for joining us then for not joining. Experiment EXARC!"
Prof Dr Javier Baena Preysler, Dep. Prehistoria y Arqueología, Madrid, Spain
The EXARC Journal is listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) with the ISSN: 2212-8956.
New issues appear three to four times a year and usually contain 10 to 15 articles.
The EXARC Journal is aimed at Experimental Archaeology, Archaeological Open-Air Museums, Interpretation and Ancient Technology.
It features the latest developments in fieldwork, academic research, museum studies, living history interpretation and ancient technology. The articles presented in those four sections are reviewed. In unreviewed Mixed Matters we present book reviews, reports from conferences and events, interviews with personalities from the world of experimental archaeology and portraits of archaeological open-air museums. This section is regularly updated to bring you topical news.
We welcome your relevant manuscripts. There is no fee for publishing through EXARC but equally we do not pay the authors either.
Contact our Chief Editor, J. Kateřina Dvořáková, for any information about the EXARC Journal.
