I started experimental archaeology work in 2017 during my undergrad at Cardiff University, continuing this in my archaeology degrees, as a self-employed heritage educator and as a craftsperson making archaeological reproductions for heritage organisations.

I have started experimental archaeology in different materials such as pottery making, iron smelting process, copper smelting and bone tool techniques past 10 years.

I have been a designer/maker for many years, with a particular interest in precious metals and wood, but originally trained as a ceramicist. Now a first-year Masters student in Experimental Archaeology at the University of Exeter. Obsessed with the transformative power of fire.....

I have recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Experimental Archaeology and Material Culture at University College Dublin. My background is quite varied and goes from I.T. through to Graphics Arts and onto Archaeology.

I have been interested in Archaeology and British Prehistory for over 45 years and nearly pursued a full-time career in this field. I have a background in design and worked as Product Development manager at The British Museum between 1997 - 2003.

I am a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow (H2020-MSCA-IF-2019) at the School of History, Classics and Archaeology, 09/2021-08/2023.

I studied philosophical anthropology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Iasi, Romania.

As a trained archaeologist, I have 30 years of experience in analysing (metal) slag from archaeological excavations in several European countries. To understand the process of slag formation it is necessary to have both theoretical and practical knowledge.

Retired archaeologist (Neolithic, Roman etc.), now specialised in archaeometallurgy.

Bronze casting, metal smelting and filigree-work enthusiast.

Current projects: Early Bronze Age Copper Smelting in the Alps; Early Medieval Iron Smelting in Northeast Bavaria; Filigree jewelry of early medieval Great Moravia/Bohemia.
