My research focuses primarily on Medieval Archaeology and Castle Studies, and more recently upon Death, Burial and the Funerary Industry, whilst my teaching focuses on Archaeological Practice, Landscape Archaeology and Cultural Heritage.

Ancient painting techniques are my field of interest - everything from scribbling on things and walls to high art. I started the exploration in 2009 with humble tempera experiments, probed into encaustic techniques in 2014, painted a ship with pliny-style wax paint in 2018.

Since 2022 I started as Archeo-tolk (archaeao-interpreter) to make children, teachers and families enthousiastic for life in the Stone Age. This is done through hands-on workshops and showing (hand-made) replicas of artefacts.

Archaeologist specialising in Iron Age rock art. She is currently working on her PhD on Iron Age mobile rock art and archaeological heritage communication at Iconictheory and the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

As an archaeologist and researcher, I am interested in understanding and explaining the technical traditions, human interactions and the socio-economic structure of prehistoric societies through the study of ceramic technology.

I received my B.A. in Archaeology from Cornell University in 2015, and my M.A. in Historical Archaeology from the University in Massachusetts, Boston in 2020.

I have been interested in Archaeology and British Prehistory for over 45 years and nearly pursued a full-time career in this field. I have a background in design and worked as Product Development manager at The British Museum between 1997 - 2003.

Coming from an art and history involved family I not only started painting/drawing early age but also have been around historical site, museum an even excavations as youngsters.
In 2017 I combined that all with my passion for body-art and started tattooing the ancient way without machine.

I am a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow (H2020-MSCA-IF-2019) at the School of History, Classics and Archaeology, 09/2021-08/2023.

My work encompasses bush craft, Ancient Technology, Experimental archaeology and Education.
