I'm Anton van den Heuvel (1964), I started learning ancient skills at the end of the eighties at the prehistoric village of Eindhoven. I have worked very closely with Hans Horreus de Haas, he was very inspirational to me.

Interested primarily in the technology and crafts of the paleolithic period.
I am an archaeobotanist specialised in the anatomical identification of archaeological wood from Palaeolithic (Europe) and prehispanic archaeological contexts (Canary Islands).
I'm an experimental archaeologist with a PhD from Exeter Uni (2016) and a music composer.

I have a degree in Natural Sciences and I am currently finishing my MSc in Natural System Sciences at the University of Turin.
My researches focus on the microscopic and biomolecular analyses of ancient dental calculus.

I have been involved in Historic Building Conservation for 40 years including Experimental Archaeology. I am currently a conservation consultant and historic materials practitioner.
I am a paleoanthropologist at the Faculty of Archaeology in Leiden University. I'm interested in the use of plants by early hominins and humans prior to agriculture, and how the use and processing of these plants may have shaped our evolutionary trajectory.
I am a curator of the prehistory collections of the National Museum of Archeology of Catalonia (Barcelona) and associate lecturer at the Autonomous University of Barcelona where I teach subjects related to technology from an experimental point of view.
