Since 2012 I am helping to get started and to continue the archeological research on Salamis island, specifically around Ambelakia bay. Known from the 480 BC Battle of Salamis. We are also trying to setup an archeological park there.

Since 2005 I am active in living history fighting as a gladiator and founded in 2006 my own group, the Hamburg-based LVDVS NEMESIS.

More than 25 years a Roman re-enactor with an interest in all aspects of human life as it was. But as a cheese maker by profession particularly interested in the dairy products of ancient times, both local and Roman.
My career in experimental aspects of ancient ship design and construction started in 1981 with the construction of the late Tim Severin's Sindbad Voyage. Following that my interests expanded to maritime archaeology and ethnography.
Claus Detreköy was from 2015 until 2022 Chair of the association “Experimental Archaeology Switzerland (EAS)”. He is engaged already for years in getting experimental archaeology, as sub discipline of archaeology, more professional.

Hello everyone! I am a PhD student at the Eurasian National University (Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan). My speciality is archaeology and the topic of my research is related to experimental archaeology.
Being a prehistoric archaeologist I really think, that science communication is an important topic, and for that I find it a pleasure to work as an educator in a museum. Concerning crafts, my main interest is pottery, and since 2014 I conduct experiments on building Neolithic clay drums.
