Jarrow Hall is on the banks of the river Tyne and features a museum devoted to the life and times of a Benedictine monk called Bede (673 – 735). Bede is known for an important book by means of which he got known as “father of English history”.

Jarrow Hall is operated by Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle (STAN); an independent charitable trust and a member of the UK-wide Groundwork federation.

Viking Valley, Gudvangen - in the heart of the unique UNESCO listed Norwegian fjord landscape - is the setting for the town of Njardarheimr, bringing to life the real history and culture of the Viking Age.

Viking Valley is a two hours’ drive from Bergen (five hours from Oslo). Here, between the fjord and the mountains the Naeroyfjord area was awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO in 2005, and has been described by National Geographic as one of the most beautiful places on the planet.

Svargas - Сваргас - The historical and cultural centre of the Viking yard was founded in 2004 and now has four 11th century reconstructed houses like in the Novgorodian, Karelian or East Swedish Viking way.

Project members are engaged in research aimed at the reconstruction of social relations and everyday life in early medieval period of military democracy, as well as the study of general historical, archaeological issues, "the Viking age".
It is a fortress, recreated in life-size, of the Baltic Slavs in the 8th-11th centuries AD (Viking Age).

The fortress „Tuida“ is situated in the Hisarlaka area, in the northeast part of the town Sliven, close to a neighbourhood called Novo Selo. Its location uncovers a wonderful view to the south – toward the town, and to the north - toward the Nature Park „Sinite kamani“. The fortress covers an area of 40.000 square metres; its construction equipment is built in the tradition of ancient military construction.

The Stone Age Village at Kussow exists of several huts and houses with North German excavations of the late Mesolithic and early Neolithic period as source.

There is a model of a long grave, a garden with old types of plants as well as an area with old breeds of animals. Finally, there is an exhibition of copies of Mesolithic and Neolithic tools. The museum runs a program of experimental and experiential archaeology combined with living history. Tourists can do activities such as weaving, pottery, shooting bow and arrow as well as shooting with the atlatl.
School programmes start with a video and a tour through the Stone Age village, following by aforementioned activities.
