In this workshop you will be given the opportunity to engage with the imagery, iconography and symbolism of archaeological artefacts in a new and unique way. All materials are provided and in this session, you will have the opportunity to choose relevant imagery from the archaeological past to inspire the creation of your own unique art piece. The art piece created will be painted on wooden disks, which can be used as a hanging decoration with your chosen design painted on one side or both. Once your design is dry, a cord can then be placed through your artwork, ready to take home.

Fabrication offers this classroom as a relaxing, mindful space for you to come and learn in. All in the heart of historic York.

The workshop will be run by Archaeologist and Heritage Crafter, Emma “Bruni" Boast, so this gives you the opportunity to ask questions about the archaeological images you are using or just generally have a chat whilst painting.

There are several Workshop slots available for this date: 10am, 12.30pm, and 3.00pm
Each Workshop lasts 1hr 30mins
Price: £35 per person
