The Northern Palaeolithic and Evolutionary Anthropology (NOPE) Network will be running a free virtual conference in April 2022, celebrating the exciting ongoing research in Palaeolithic archaeology and Palaeoanthropology at northern Universities in the UK and beyond!

The NOPE Network was created during the Covid-19 pandemic to bring together Palaeolithic and Palaeoanthropology researchers across universities in the north of the UK. Since then, NOPE has held monthly virtual meetings that have showcased research, hosted prominent speakers, and provided opportunities for discussions and mutual support.

The theme of the NOPE conference is "New Approaches" and intends to celebrate the diverse and innovative research being undertaken in Palaeolithic archaeology and Palaeoanthropology, particularly by early career researchers.
