Every year in June, we invite you to Western Norway's largest Viking festival at the Viking garden in Avaldsnes.

"Vikings" from all over Europe gather here. Historic surroundings, with reconstructed buildings from the Viking Age, set a nice setting and a wonderful atmosphere around the event. This is a meeting place for friendship and cultural development.

The Viking Festival at Avaldsnes is full of experiences for young and old. Over 200 Vikings from Norway and Europe give visitors an authentic insight into the Viking Age. The large market selling handicrafts, food, tastings and music is there for your senses.

In the various tents, work is done with traditional crafts and the sale of self-produced goods. See the blacksmith at work, listen to Viking music, or try various activities such as archery, horse riding, juggling or theater - all to the delicious scent of Viking food.

There will be music, storytelling and a fight show at set times, and there will be various food and drink for sale. Welcome!
