Bringing Experimental Lithic Technology to Paleoamerican Brazilian Archaeology: Replication Studies on the Rioclarense and Garivaldinense Industries

This study carried out an initial experiment on the replication of Paleoamerican technologies from Eastern South America, exploring the cases of lesmas and stemmed points from the Rioclarense industry, and stemmed points from the Garivaldinense Industry. This is the first study in Brazilian archaeology to test flaking methods and techniques in order to understand how hunter-gatherers produced artefacts associated with different archaeological cultures.
