The Friends of the Roman Vicus Eisenberg eV(link is external) cordially invite you to the Metallurgy Symposium 2023 in Eisenberg (Palatinate).

The two-day program offers on the one hand set specialist lectures on the topics of Roman iron smelting in Eisenberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, current research on mining archeology in the region and the latest archaeometric investigation methods on March 18th and 19th, 2023 as well as demonstrations, e.g. bronze casting, iron smelting and further processing of the metals on June 24th and 25th, 2023.

On the other hand, the program offers the opportunity to present one's own projects to a supra-regional audience and to make extensive contacts through a short presentation of one's own projects.

Everyone is welcome who is interested in the topic, researching, experimenting, ...
