The Stone Age is brought to life here! Archaeotechnician Andreas Diehm shows what had to be done every day: making and repairing tools, sewing clothes, but also making hunting weapons are some of the activities that can be explored together with the visitors. From the wooden hatchet with a stone blade to the filigree sewing needle made of bone, things are presented that are still used today - made of modern materials. Everyone is invited not only to watch, but also to participate and try them out!
Culinary provisions are also provided: for just €1 per piece of cake or cup, the Catholic Women’s Association offers delicious cakes for sale from 1 p.m.
At 3 p.m., the public guided tour of the outdoor area spans the arc from the Ice Age hunters to the pile dwellers at the Federsee and gives a lively insight into 15,0000 years.
From 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., you can also bake bread on an open fire , try out throwing with the Ice Age spear thrower, or enjoy a round in a dugout canoe on the museum pond.
