Our volunteers will tell you all about ancient recipes and remedies you could prepare using the same herbs you see in our Herb Garden.

SUGAR BLOWING
Saturday & Sunday

Why not try the glass-blowing technique using sugar without the risk of getting burnt?? The Education Team will show you how to do it!

EDUCATIONAL ARCHAEOLOGY
Saturday & Sunday

For the occasion, a brand-new educational archaeology corner has been set up on site, where children can become archaeologists for a day, excavating in our replica mini-dig, sieving soil and looking for precious long-lost artefacts, learn how to clean and reassemble them.

Closing the event, on Sunday 28th July at 2pm, EXARN experimental archaeologists will speak about their research at Jarrow Hall and screen their short documentary on Experimental Archaeology!
