Harvest Feast

Experience an old-fashioned harvest feast and help to preserve Vitlycke Meadow! We work together and show how a scythe should be used for best results.

A meadow can accommodate 40-50 species of flowers and grass per square meter. Today, only small bits of all the fields remain that once were important because they gave winter fodder for the animals.

Nowadays meadows are not required for winter fodder for the animals, but the management of the meadows that exist today are primarily a condition for meadow herbs and grasses. Butterflies and other insects should be able to survive. We gather with scythes and rakes at Vitlycke Museum and make hay as educational celebration. We tell old tales about wild flowers.

Bring your own picnic basket or buy a picnic basket at the Bronze Cafe. We offer music while working for it to go to a dance!

A warm welcome to Vitlycke Museum and the World Heritage Tanum rock carvings.
