The Moscow Ethnographic Society will be conducting a series of archaeological presentations and experimentations during our very own Gefest-fest, which is a living history event dedicated to technology and culture of Bronze age European peoples.
The purpose of the festival is to present the archaeological cultures of Eurasia of the early and middle Bronze Age, little known to the public.
The festival will recreate the technologies and cultural characteristics of different communities.
Our plans include the reconstruction of the wagon of the Catacomb culture (based on the finds in the Ulan 4 burial mound); Fire ceramics based on the finds; Reproduction of the diet of the Bronze Age; Study of musical culture; Recreation of rituals and myths of the prehistoric period.
Based on the footage, a documentary film will be created.
