During a visit to a Czech rural household in the early Middle Ages, we will get acquainted with ancient methods of processing flax, sheep wool and leather. We will try washing wool and breaking flax, combing and dyeing fibers, spinning threads, weaving fabrics and sewing clothes. We will learn how demanding and lengthy work the production of clothing was. How often could our ancestors afford to have new clothes and buy them? How did they walk dressed during the changing seasons? What could they have shoes from and could everyone have them? In addition, we will test our knowledge by solving fun tasks and questions.
