At Whitsun (Pfingsten), the open-air museum is transformed into a place of living history. For three days, members of the Düppel Museum Village Association and travelling craftsmen will bring the Middle Ages into the present day in authentic costumes.
Through the palisade gate, you will not only enter the settlement reconstructed according to archaeological findings, but also a time long gone. Experience at first hand what everyday village life might have been like around the year 1200. Cooking and dyeing is done at the fires of the huts, fresh bread is baked in the ovens. Water is drawn by hand from the well, the sheep's wool is spun, and children romp around the village square, where young and old are together in medieval style.
