Learn techniques to hand-stitch a garment together using traditional tools like bone needles.

In this one day workshop, learn to use a sewing pattern based on archaeological prehistoric clothing finds to cut your tunic from traditional fabrics like wools or linen. Making garments and accessories in the past was probably a community effort, so join our enthusiastic modern community of likeminded people to try your hand at something new.

Sew away in the tranquillity of the lochside setting whilst stories and tales are told by the fire and refreshments and lunch are served from our Iron Age kitchen. Also, complete an elegant leather belt to secure your comfortable, cosy tunic and go away well kitted out for prehistoric life, armed with new skills.

This workshop is part of a series of one-day workshops which will lead to the creation of a complete Iron Age outfit, so please check the other courses available!
