Ensemble Storstrøm comes to the Medieval Center for 2 concerts of Italian medieval music with dancing rhythms.

Ensemble Storstrøm  has tackled some old Italian dances from the 14th century and offers 2 mini-concerts at the Medieval Center on Saturday 27 August at 11 and 12.30.

The rhythms fluctuated and were very advanced in 14th century Italy. Come and listen when the ensemble's 8 musicians give their take on how the music might have sounded.

The ensemble has delved into the music of the exciting composer Franzsco Landini. He lived in Florence in the 14th century and was very versatile as a composer, singer, poet, organist and instrument maker.

The concerts also offer swinging dance music from the Middle Ages interpreted by the Italian composer Respighi in the 19th century and thus now performed by modern instruments in the hands of Ensemble Storstrøm's musicians.

The concert is a collaboration with the Medieval Center and is included in the entrance ticket.
