Master ceramist Lyn Riccardo will demonstrate her skills at the wheel in the workshops of the Roman Villa Borg.
Already in Roman times there were pottery kilns for the production of everyday ceramics. In addition to vessels, roof tiles were also made in such potteries.
Lyn Riccardo holds a BFA from the prestigious Alfred College of Ceramics in New York and an MFA in ceramics from Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge. She has lived in Mettlach since 1991. Her works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the USA, Germany, New Zealand, Japan and France since 1979. In the Roman Villa Borg, she has been dedicated to the production of ancient Roman ceramics since 2022.
These special events are included in the entrance fee to Villa Borg.
