Making Bronze Age jewellery - A children's workshop as part of the European Archaeology Days
More than 4,000 years ago, the triumphant advance of a new raw material began. Bronze, an alloy of copper and tin, had arrived in our region. It became eponymous for an epoch: the Bronze Age. People knew how to make beautiful jewellery from this shiny golden metal.
The participants in this workshop will also learn this craft. Under expert and child-orientated guidance, great objects are created from bronze and copper, which can of course be taken home as souvenirs. The workshop is suitable for children aged 6 and older.
