Excursion 1
Bolzano/Bozen (Iceman Museum) & Val Senales (archeoParc) – Theme Copper Age
Bozen is the provincial capital city of Alto Adige/South Tyrol; it is a German-speaking region and bilingual. Boen is one of the top-ranked towns in Italy if you think of quality of life and was elected best Italian city in 2017. Since it opened in 1998, the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology in Bolzano attracted more than 4.4 million visitors who came to see the mummy of Ötzi. Worldwide known as Ice-Man or Frozen Fritz, he was found in 1991 along the Italian-Austrian border, 60 kilometers from Bolzano. Ötzi is one of the oldest mummies in the world and represents a rich source of information about life during prehistoric times. At the museum is possible to see his well-preserved body and the artefacts found close to him.
The excursion will continue with the visit of the archeoParc of Val Senales, an archaeological open-air museum where different Copper Age houses are reconstructed. The museum offers several other attractions to understand the time when Ötzi lived, 5300 years ago.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Parco Archeologico del Bostel di Rotzo (Iron Age). We start with lunch in the park's restaurant, followed by a park excursion, museum visit and VR demonstration. The program ends with a discussion with coffee. The Bostel di Rotzo and the MASC (Museo Archeologico Sette Comuni) are located in Castelletto di Rotzo (Vicenza, Italy) at c. 12 km from Asiago. For 25 years now, the University of Padova systematically conducts archaeological excavations at this site. Bostel di Rotzo is a protohistoric village located at a frontier zone between the Venetic and the Rhaetic regions in the pre-Alps of Veneto: during the second half of the Iron Age this village had an extremely important role in the exchange of pastoral and mining resources between the Alps and the Po plain.

Excursion 3
Trento & Wine Tasting
One can visit the historical centre of Trento at own pace in the morning. The nearby modern town district “Le Albere”, hosts the Science Museum (MUSE); it has been awarded an honourable mention at the European Museum of the Year Awards 2015 and is well worth a visit too, just like the Castello del Buon Consiglio in the old town.
Trento, Museo Diocesano (c) Archivio Fotografico Museo Diocesano Tridentino.
We will start our afternoon tour by visiting parts of the ancient Roman city of Tridentum, founded by Romans in the middle of the first century B.C., which still lays underneath the historic centre of Trento. The Early Christian Basilica and the Diocesan Museum are two of the main historical institutions hosting a permanent exhibition with a collection of paintings, wooden sculptures, tapestries and manuscripts, covering the thirteenth to the nineteenth century. The visit will end with the tasting of a variety of local wines in the historical centre of Trento at Scrigno del Duomo, one of the most exclusive restaurants in Trento.
You will have a guided tour in English that will take you through the two level building that has a ground floor with the Bistrot-Wine Bar and a underground level where the ancient square was located, where now is the Restaurant. The guide will show you the roman walls and the "cantina". You will taste three important wines with typical salumi and cheese (Altemasi Trento doc with trentingrana, Nosiola Bottega Vinai 2017 with Formaggio Casolet Val di Sole and finally Teroldego rotaliano Bottega Vinai 2017 with Mortandela della Val di Non).
