Visit to the temporary exhibition dedicated to Juan Vilanova y Piera, which will allow the discovery of a Valencian scientist unknown to the majority of the population. Vilanova i Piera was one of its most accredited figures in prehistoric research during the second half of the 19th century. He defended the antiquity of the Altamira paintings and insisted on a Copper Age prior to the Bronze Age. He was also the author of the first Spanish work to compile both the knowledge of prehistoric studies and the Spanish archaeological sites that were known at that time and he was also the researcher who prospected and disclosed, for the first time, numerous Valencian sites.

We discover the treasures of the museum: a Roman die
Our permanent collections hold a multitude of treasures to discover. Some, despite their small size, hide great stories, such as the dice and small game pieces used in Roman times. The Museum invites you to play as the Romans would do to discover everything they hide and tell us about these pieces.
