The MAMUZ castle Asparn / Zaya is dedicated this weekend to the Middle Ages. Guests of the MAMUZ have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the Middle Ages in our region and at the same time immerse themselves in medieval crafts and stories.
Craft and everyday life of the people are in the foreground. In the archeological outdoor area, guests get a glimpse of craft techniques that have shaped this era: weapons are forged, bows and arrows are built, fabrics are woven and made of leather the known pointed shoes of the Middle Ages. In this way you can clearly see how the people of the Middle Ages prepared for struggles, which clothes and shoes were worn and how all this was made. Small and large visitors can become active when punching leather and the self-designed pieces may be taken home.
