Easily flammable material, oxygen and heat - these are the basic requirements for starting a fire. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Patrick Geiger will present how and with what flames have been and were kindled from the Stone Age to the present day. From the paleolithic punch lighter to the "peaceful" fire in antiquity to the modern lighter, an exciting insight into 32,000 years of fire production is given.
At 2 p.m. there is an exclusive ArchäoKids tour by children for children. The young visitors can explore the Stone Age and find out how resourceful Paleolithic hunters and gatherers, but also the first farmers at Federsee, were.
During a public tour at 3 p.m., all interested parties will be impressively introduced to the eventful history of the Federsee, from the Paleolithic to the pile dwelling.
In addition, from 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., visitors can put their skills to the test in throwing a spear with the Ice Age spear thrower or take a boat from prehistory, the dugout canoe, on the museum pond.
