Bronze Age

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Musée des Temps Barbares, the Living History Festival will take place: 2000 years of French History. See you on June 25 and 26, 2022 in Marle (Aisne) to discover this historic event!

During the National Archeology Days everyone can participate in the organized activities. An excavation is organized especially for children, where they can search for pottery and Roman coins. You can then take these objects home with you to enjoy the day even more.  

The Moscow Ethnographic Society will be conducting a series of archaeological presentations and experimentations during our very own Gefest-fest, which is a living history event dedicated to technology and culture of Bronze age European peoples.

This one day course is a chance to try your hand at the craft of rush weaving in the inspirational setting of St Fagans National Museum of History. Working under the guidance of local craftswoman Clare Revera, you’ll learn the techniques required to make a rush table mat or two (or more if you're quick!).

Forging is from all ages. Even before the use of metal, there used to be a flint smith. Flint was used to make sharp objects, such as knifes, axes, and drawbars. Later, these type of objects were made of bronze and iron and steel.
