Open-air Music in Open-air Museum
On the first weekend in August there is a solidarity concert in our museum for our museum. We are very moved by how strongly we are currently being helped by private people. Without this support, it would look bleak. Think of the Old Persian saying: If you have money for two loaves, buy one and roses instead of the second.
International Bushcraft Event
The International Bushcraft Event, will be held some time in 2022 in The Netherlands (Holland). This event will be quite unique in its kind since it will bring instructors from all over the world to the public at one and the same place. As the International Bushcraft Symposium focuses on professionals, the International Bushcraft Event will be focused on the general public.

Western Carolina University has a combined Anthropology and Sociology department, with 10 full-time anthropologists on faculty. The program offers undergraduate concentrations in Sociocultural Anthropology and Linguistics, Archaeology, and Forensic and Biological Anthropology.
Experimental Archaeology is offered every 4th semester (odd-numbered years) and has historically focused on questions arising from archaeological research in the southern Appalachians and often focuses on aspects of Cherokee prehistory. Projects have focused on a wide range of technologies, including bone, chipped stone, ground stone, rivercane, ceramics and local clay processing, and cooking.
