The Oer-IJ Expedition: Historical Walks

The Oer-IJ expedition: A multiperiod event where over 2000 participants walk several routes in the North of Holland, specifically in the area around the village of Castricum.

Along the route they will have meetups with several historical figures, reenactors and guides. 18th century dyke builders, 16th century engineers, 17th century musicians, Medieval brewers and a Roman God will make the history of the area come alive.
