Insights into cultivation and use with Barbara Suchanek-Voget Herbs have been used by humans in a variety of ways for thousands of years. Whether as food, medicine, material or mystical-religious use. But their presence tells us much more. They provide information about the condition of the soil, its use or climatic conditions.
Using the example of 16 selected herbs from the herbal hoard of the archaeological open-air museum, you will be introduced to the diverse secrets of plants. Afterwards we go together to the grain show area to learn more about the cultivation, processing and taste of ancient grains that have been used since the Neolithic Age.
The one and a half hour tour invites you in a vivid and lively way, better understand the vegetable world. Afterwards you are welcome to explore the museum in detail or enjoy the café garden with a cup of coffee.
